Watching Week – Celebrating Progress, Confidence and Community
During the week of 15–20 June, we welcomed our families into the studio for our annual Watching Week, a special opportunity for parents and carers to step inside class and see the progress their children have been making throughout the term.
Across all classes, from our youngest dancers through to our senior students, the studio was filled with energy, focus and a real sense of pride in learning.
A Chance to Share the Journey
Watching Week is always a highlight of our calendar. It allows families to see not just the steps and routines being learned, but the confidence, discipline and joy that develops through consistent training.
For many dancers, having parents in the studio brings an extra sense of excitement and motivation, and this year was no exception.
Dancing Together
One of the most special parts of the week was seeing parents not only watching, but joining in alongside their children. From simple exercises to full class participation, these moments created laughter, connection and a shared appreciation of just how much work goes into each class.
It was a reminder that dance is something to be experienced together, not just observed.
Proud Moments Across the Studio
Throughout the week, there were countless moments of encouragement, support and pride. Dancers of all ages rose to the occasion, showing focus, enthusiasm and growing confidence as they performed in front of their families.
Equally, parents had the opportunity to see the progress that is often less visible from week to week, the improvements in technique, musicality and self-assurance that build over time.
A True Community Experience
More than anything, Watching Week reflected what ABC is all about: a supportive environment where children feel encouraged, families feel involved, and everyone shares in the journey of progress.
We are incredibly proud of all our dancers and grateful to our families for being part of such a positive and encouraging week in the studio.
