Heather Shrimpton RAD RTS, AISTD, FDI

Founder & Artistic Director

Heather trained with Basingstoke Academy of Dance before moving up to Stirling to study at Stirling University, where she gained a BSc (Hons) in Biology. During her time at university, she continued her dance training at the Scottish Academy of Dance, gaining her teaching qualification with the Royal Academy of Dance and Associate with the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance.

Throughout a varied career, Heather was the Special Needs Dance Co-ordinator and then Dance Artist for Clackmannanshire Council, sourcing funding, teaching within local schools, organising workshops with Dance UK and lecturing at national dance conferences. She is currently a primary teacher in a local school.

She enjoys riding out on her motorbikes. However she won’t be turning up to class on it – there is not enough room for the stereo, syllabus, registers, scarves, shoes . . . . . . .Heather also has her day skipper and Yachtmaster Theory which enables her to enjoy her passion of sailing. Another passion is the drums, which Heather took up several years ago, and is sometimes found jamming with her friends.

Throughout her varied career, Heather has choreographed and directed numerous children’s musical theatre and amateur operatic societies.

Claire Hoyle

Originally from Tillicoultry, Claire began her dance and performance journey at the Dance School of Scotland in Glasgow. She then moved to London to further her training, graduating with a BA Honours in Performing Arts from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.

Alongside her extensive performing career, Claire has always had a strong passion for teaching. She has taught various theatre disciplines over the years, which she finds incredibly rewarding.

Three years ago, Claire returned to her roots in Clackmannanshire with her husband Tom and their wonderful son, Dylan. Since then, she has been running the Music Bugs Stirling franchise - a role she adores - while continuing to perform regularly across Scotland. Claire is deeply grateful to still be active in the performance world and to share her love of music and theatre with others.
