RAD Ballet Exam Session Commitment, Progress and Confidence
At the end of March, our Grade 3, 4 and 5 students took part in their Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet exams, completing their assessments through the video exam format.
For our older students, this marked an important moment in their training - a chance to demonstrate not only their technical development, but also their focus, discipline and consistency over time. These exams reflect months of dedicated practice, refinement and attention to detail in class.
The video format brings a different kind of experience compared to traditional exam settings. While still maintaining the structure and standards of RAD examinations, it offers a more familiar and relaxed environment within the studio. This allows students to focus on performing to the best of their ability, supported by their teachers and surrounded by the space they know well.
Across all three grades, students approached their exams with calmness and professionalism. There was a clear sense of preparation and readiness, as well as pride in their work. Their ability to stay focused, apply corrections and perform with consistency is a reflection of both their individual commitment and the supportive training environment they are part of.
Following the sessions, parents had the opportunity to join their children in celebrating their achievement, capturing photos and marking the occasion together. These moments are a reminder of the shared journey behind every exam - the encouragement, the routine, and the commitment that happens both inside and outside the studio.
At this stage of their training, students are not only developing as dancers, but also building valuable life skills: perseverance, responsibility, self-motivation and confidence in performance situations.
We are incredibly proud of the dedication shown by all our Grade 3, 4 and 5 students. Their continued progress is a testament to their hard work and the consistency they bring to their training each week.
