Nebit Hill Challenge Walk – Dancing Our Way to the Summit
On Sunday 31st May, 25 members of our ABC community came together for a very special fundraising challenge, a walk up Nebit Hill in Alva, finishing at the Beacon.
With sunshine overhead and plenty of energy throughout, dancers, families, friends, grandparents and even a few very enthusiastic dogs took part in what became a truly memorable community day.
Many of the group continued all the way to the summit, everyone reached the beacon all contributing to the shared goal of supporting our upcoming ABC Biennial Dance Show next year and helping to keep production costs as manageable as possible for families.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be an ABC event without a little bit of sparkle… tutus were very much encouraged! From dancers in full costume to a grandad proudly joining in the spirit of things, the day was filled with laughter, personality and plenty of memorable moments. One four-legged participant even joined in the fun, proving that the ABC community spirit truly includes everyone.
What stood out most was not just the walk itself, but the connections along the way. Friendships were strengthened, conversations flowed, and the sense of shared purpose was clear from start to finish.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, supported, donated or encouraged from afar. At the time of writing, an amazing £435 has already been raised, with contributions still coming in.
Events like this are a reminder that ABC is about so much more than dance in the studio, it is a community built on support, generosity and shared experiences.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the Nebit Hill Challenge such a special day.
