Morea Workshop High Energy Jazz with Abigail Steele

We were delighted to welcome professional dancer and teacher Abigail Steele to ABC for a special Morea Workshop, giving dancers the opportunity to train with a professional working in the industry.

The workshop was organised through Morea Performing Arts, who invited Abigail to deliver a free two-hour session at our studio. It was open to dancers from other schools too, and we were delighted to welcome dancers from Fusion Dance Academy and Central Scotland Ballet School alongside our ABC dancers.

Two Hours of Jazz

The session combined jazz technique with a full jazz routine, giving dancers the chance to work on both their technical skills and performance quality.

With Abigail's energetic teaching style, the two hours were fast-paced, challenging and full of energy. Dancers were encouraged to pick up choreography quickly, commit to the movement and really perform.

It was a brilliant opportunity to experience a different teaching style and to see how professional training can bring a new perspective to their dancing.

Learning Beyond Our Regular Classes

Workshops like this give dancers the chance to step outside their usual weekly routine, work with new teachers and challenge themselves in a different environment.

It was also lovely to see dancers from different schools sharing the studio, training together and enjoying their love of dance.
