Alloa Ballet Company Named Finalist in Scottish Dance Awards
We are incredibly proud to share some very special news — Alloa Ballet Company has been named a finalist in this year’s Scottish Dance Awards, recognised in not one but two categories: Outstanding Small School and Health & Wellbeing in Dance.
This recognition means so much to us because it reflects exactly what we aim to create every day in the studio - not just strong dancers, but confident, happy young people who feel supported, valued and inspired.
Dance at ABC has always been about more than steps and exams. It’s about friendships, encouragement, resilience, and giving every child a place where they can grow, express themselves and feel they belong. Seeing that approach acknowledged on a national stage is something we are enormously proud of.
Of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible dancers, our dedicated teaching team, and the wonderful families who support the studio week after week. The energy, commitment and kindness within our dance family is what truly makes ABC special.
The awards ceremony takes place on 3rd May, and whatever the outcome, being recognised alongside so many inspiring schools across Scotland already feels like a huge achievement for our whole community.
Thank you to everyone who is part of the ABC journey - this recognition belongs to all of you.
