Tap dancing is a great physical activity, with the added benefits of developing rhythm and timing. The syllabus followed, helps students focus on musical awareness whilst incorporating tap steps and combinations.

Tap dancing is beneficial in many ways; increasing cardiovascular conditioning and coordination. Tap builds strength in the legs and feet in addition to increasing flexibility in the hips, knees and ankles. Cognitive abilities are also enhanced, as tap dancers must develop both mental and muscle memory to become proficient at tapping.

Our students have the opportunity to enter the Imperial Society of Teacher of Dance tap exams from grade to vocational level.
